New Limburg: My Hometown Hero


Taking a detour from the heart of Niagara Region, this week’s brewery is not only close to my heart, but close to my hometown as well.

Nestled between Simcoe and (the best named village ever) Rattlesnake Harbour, New Limburg Brewery has managed to make a name for itself in the craft beer world, winning first prize at last month’s Great Ontario-Hopped Craft Beer Competition for their Belgian IPA.

Caroline Cellars: An Instagrammer’s Dream

In search of a cozy corner for a weekend lunch date, this week’s winery was chosen solely for its lunch menu, but was memorable because of its visual appeal.

Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Caroline Cellars did not disappoint, looking as though it came straight out of a dreamy Pinterest board. Decorated in rustic barn board and strung with twinkling lights, the tasting bar and café are warm and inviting, with shelves that modestly display rows of wine bottles draped in awards and medals.
